We are so proud! Our Granville-Whitehall Varsity Cross Country team won the Adirondack League Championship Title this week for the first time since 1993! Carter Powell was named league MVP, while Chase Oakman and Parker Cornwall were named first team All-stars. The team was led by Coach Tim Best, who is also our 7th grade Math Teacher.
The Teachers and Staff got in on the fall fun today! Who do you recognize in the pictures? I spy an Art teacher, Ag teacher, Special Education teachers, Librarian, Teaching Assistants and Aides, Math teacher, our District Tutor, Kindergarten teachers, our school security team and more. Anyone else? Don't forget to get a look at the "Grammar Police! Here to Serve and Correct!" #gogranville #granvilleny #granvillehorde
Good afternoon! The MJT and GES afternoon buses may arrive a bit early today because many students are being picked up after the Fall Parade. There will fewer students on the buses to be dropped off and this results in some earlier arrival times. Thank you!
COMMUNITY NOTICE: The 1pm Varsity Football game in Whitehall on Saturday, 11/2 will be charging a $6 fee to attend (Children 12 and under are free to attend).
EDITED TO ADD: A $3 to $8 fee is a NYSPHAA Section 2 ticketing procedure, for all Sectional Playoffs. NYSPHAA uses the GoFan platform which also charges a convenience fee of approximately $1.30 to $1.50. Here is the link to pricing details for all sports: https://section2athletics.org/.../SECTIONAL_TICKET_PRICES... Granville CSD does not charge for school sport events, unless we are a designated host for a Sectional event run by NYSPHAA, in which case it is a NYSPHAA fee, not Granville CSD fee.
Those interested in attending must purchase a ticket on the following Gofan page prior to attending. There will be no cash option available for purchasing a ticket there. Here is the link to purchase a ticket: https://gofan.co/event/1658976?schoolId=NYSPHSAAII

Good Morning! We are still looking for a FEMALE modified wrestling coach and a FEMALE volunteer assistant coach for the girls JRSR High wrestling program. Please contact Gabby Hunt at ghunt@granvillecsd.org for questions/volunteering and download a coach application at our "Now Hiring" page of GranvilleCSD.org Thank you!
Thank you Jacy Good and Daniel Johnson for coming to speak with our Grades 10-12 about the importance of distraction free driving.
We learned how something as simple as enabling Drive Mode (android) or Driving Focus (iphone) on our mobile phones can help keep ourselves and others safe on road.
And we also learned why HANDS FREE TALKING IS NOT THE ANSWER. While hands-free mobile phone use by drivers is not illegal, it results in 40% decline in visibility, hazard detection and spatial awareness and cause distraction while driving. Wow!
Ask your teen what else they learned over dinner or while driving with them.
And thank you to a collaboration between https://www.sadd.org/ and New York State for sponsoring this Assembly and making it free to our school.

Hurray for Bus Driver Vicki who volunteered to take a picture on behalf of our bus driving team. Thanks for all that you do! https://www.granvillecsd.org/page/rules-and-safety
