Robo Calls Update: We are switching to a new platform for our alert system. Please bear with us as we work out the logistics. If you have been receiving calls & do not have students in school any longer please email Ashlee Zinn - azinn@granvillecsd.org with your contact information to be put on our "do not call" list. You may also receive duplicate calls from the old platform and the new platform.
Thank you for your patience as we switch to our new platform.
Granville Schools will be closed today, April 4th, we are working with local law enforcement partners to ensure the safety of our buildings. All 12-month staff are to remain home as well. Thank you and we appreciate your patience.
Message from the Superintendent:
Good morning this is Tom McGurl with the Granville Central School District; today, Tuesday, 4, 2023 the district will be operating on a two hour delay.
This morning at approximately 4 a.m. I received a bomb threat toward the school. Upon receiving the threat, I immediately contacted our law enforcement partners. The Granville Police Department and the Washington County Sheriff's Office are investigating the validity of the claim, and ensure the safety and wellbeing of our school community. As a precaution and as we continue the investigation, the district will initially be operating on a two-hour delay.
I understand that this information can be frightening. Please be assured, we are working with our law enforcement partners, and the safety of our students and school community is our first priority. For personal safety, and to allow law enforcement to effectively and efficiently conduct their investigation, we ask that members of the public not converge on to school property.
Updates will be made as more information becomes available.
Thank you for your patience and support as we work to ensure the safety of everyone in the district.
