Good afternoon,
This is a reminder that tomorrow, Friday June 7th there is no school in session. It is our last snow day giveback day. We will see everyone on Monday, June 10th.
Thank you and have a wonderful weekend.
On June 3rd, the Drama Club had the opportunity to meet with Ken MacLeod and Kim Kachougian, two of the set designers and carpenters for the prerecorded sketches on Saturday Night Live! In this session, our guests talked about the process for designing sets for the show and shared design boards for sketches that they have worked on. Our students also got to see behind the scene pictures of the sets being built on the stage and hear stories about designing specific sets in the short 48 hour period they have to build and shoot on them. They also got to ask Ken and Kim questions related to set design and the film industry in general.
Students in our SUNY Plattsburgh Model OAS class earn college credit by working in teams to present a public policy/international relations solution that will help all OAS Member States. Students prepare their presentations throughout the spring semester and then present, debate, and vote on their ideas during three days of meetings on the SUNY Plattsburgh campus. This year all Granville student presentations were successfully approved by students from regional schools participating in the Model OAS program.
Yesterday, 7th grader, Jeffrey Anderson, played fiddle and sang bluegrass/folk songs with his band Cafe Lena Rolling Pebbles at the SPAC Festival of Young Artists.
Great job!
