Great things are happening at Granville Jr/Sr High:

Congratulations to Modified Soccer for winning their first away game last night against Warrensburg-Bolton.

Please join us for our Jr/Sr High Open House, on Tuesday 9/24/24 from 6-7pm. Whether it's your first time attending, or you come every year, we would love to see you. This is a great opportunity to meet your child’s teachers and Granville Jr/Sr staff, get-acquainted with the school and discover what they’re learning. Cookies and punch will be provided. You'll receive your student's schedule and will follow a sample school day with some time in each classroom. This is a family friendly event if you need to bring a sibling.

Teacher and Student Spotlight: Congratulations to Ms. Stout and Conor Thomas! Conor Thomas, one of our Jr Band students, auditioned for and was accepted to the S.E. Shires Company, Rising Artists music program. He is by far the youngest student who was given a spot in this program. This program includes students from Yale, Manhattan School of Music, and Juilliard School of Music to name a few.

Things to Sign Up For

10/25 - Early Bird Rate Ends for Yearbook Orders - The yearbook is currently $55 (before taxes) until 10/25 - price goes up to $65 after this date. Yearbooks can be ordered online through Jostens at www.jostensyearbooks.com or parents can send in a completed order form with payment (cash or check) to me. Checks can be made out to Granville Jr-Sr High School. People can email me at jbunker@granvillecsd.org if they have any questions.

11/1 - Deadline to Send in Two Senior Photos - Mr. Bunker needs the following from seniors by November 1st: Two senior photos (one formal and one casual) and one baby photo. I'm also looking for throwback photos (pictures of seniors from their elementary days) to be included on our throwback page. Photos can be emailed directly to me at jbunker@granvillecsd.org. If parents have only hard copies of baby photo, they can send them in with their senior and I will scan it on my printer.

Homework Club - Do you need a quiet space to do homework and access school Wi-Fi?

Morning Homework Club meets every morning at 6:50; meet Mr. Hardin by Main Entrance.

Afterschool Homework Club meets Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 2:20 - 3:20 in Mrs. Rath’s Room 109. Join anytime.

More Clubs - Encourage your child to sign up for a club by listening to morning announcements with details of upcoming meetings. There is a place for everyone at Granville High:

We have Drama Club, Dungeons & Dragons Club, FFA, Guitar Club, Math Club, Marching Band, Journalism Club with a Jr and Sr High Paper, Ski and Snowboard Club, Spanish Club, Student Council, Trap Club, Spirit Club, Jazz Band, National Honor Society, Quiz Bowl Club and Yearbook Club.

No Outside Food Deliveries Allowed - Outside food/drink deliveries create a serious class disruption for teachers, classrooms and custodians. Please note, we have a free breakfast and lunch program for all students, thank you.
